Amy O
Amy O is a parent, former educator, and tireless advocate for children's mental health. She discovered the importance of prioritizing mental health and emotional wellness when her own child was struggling. Feeling alone and scared, Amy realized her community of Northbrook, IL needed a place for parents to find support, information, and resources, and she created CATCH: Community Action Together for Children's Health. As the Executive Director of CATCH, she works daily to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and let everyone know it’s okay not to be okay and to reach out for help and support.
Amy received a 2021 Peggy A. Montes Unsung Heroine Award from the Cook County Commission on Women's Issues for her commitment to destigmatizing mental illness and providing resources to parents and caregivers.
